Teacher Rhodes

Hello, my name is Teacher Rhode’ Jooste but you can call me Tr. Rhodes. I am so grateful to be part of this amazing journey and I am thrilled to be your teacher. We are going to have lots of fun learning together!

I've had the privilege of teaching students in South Africa, China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, and South Korea with over 9 years of teaching English experience online and in the classroom in total.

To me education is important because it is the most powerful weapon to change the world. It is very important to me that my students enjoy learning while also having a bit of fun as well. I always start my classes with a warm-up dance because I believe students also learn through movement and music. I would like to inspire all learners to become extraordinarily unique by building independence, confidence, and self-esteem.

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature and Language and I have studied at the Harris University in America for 4 years (2008-2012) . I have also completed a 120-hour TEFL certificate as well.

If I were to describe my specific teaching style, I would say that I am very energetic, friendly, loyal, and kind. Teaching is my passion and joy. It’s an extreme pleasure to be able to have the privilege of shaping the minds of the next generation.
